Mr. Greg Barrett

My name is Greg and I am and enrolled member of the Red Lake Indian Nation, "The Home of the Brave and Land of the Free." Although I have grown accustomed to living in the city, I continuously look forward to spending my free time in Red Lake with my family.

This is my third year teaching third grade at the American Indian Magnet School. While working through college, I tutored for the St. Paul Public Schools Indian Education Program. I believe learning is a life-long process and I am determined to pass that value on to the students whom I teach.

I graduated from Augsburg College with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in American Indian Studies. I am currently earning my masters degree through the University of St. Thomas in the Gifted, Talented, and Creative Arts Program.

I enjoy traveling to various pow-wows throughout the year and making dance outfits for young dancers. I also enjoy reading, computer games, movies, board games, friends, family, and teaching!
